An article on the implications for health surveillance resulting from the revised HAVS and Noise at Work Regulations has been written by Dr Mary Kinoulty and published in the February edition of Safety Management Magazine.
Under both the new Noise and Control of Vibration Regulations, employers now have an explicit duty to provide health surveillance if there is a risk to workers’ health.
Dr Mary Kinoulty, Specialist Occupational Physician at Serco Occupational Health, explains the steps that companies should follow.
